  • The Create Place 29 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PJ United Kingdom (map)

DecolonArt's Beyond the Margins: Map of the Soul

In this workshop, we'll explore self-love through making personal zines!

This workshop delves into our experiences of self-love. We'll dive into what makes you, you! Create a zine that is a personal love letter to your past, present or future self.

Whether it's your name, skin colour, or heritage, embrace every aspect of yourself. This is your space to experiment, brainstorm, and create unique pieces that express your identity and history. No prior artistic experience is necessary—just bring your passion and your creative juices.

Make art, fight injustice xx We particularly welcome participants from the global majority. This workshop is designed for participants aged 18+ Please note: Our workshops explore sensitive topics. While not a replacement for therapy, they provide a supportive and encouraging space to express feelings, learn, and heal together. We encourage participants to prioritise their well-being and take a moment if needed during the workshop.

DecolonArt seeks to be a platform for marginalised voices, a testament to the transformative potential of art, and a call to action for a more inclusive art world.

Anika’s artistic practice is a vibrant exploration of identity, memory, and reclamation. Through journaling, zine-making, collaging, and scrapbooking, she weaves together personal narratives with broader historical threads.

Follow @DecolonArt for announcements on their next workshops and events.
